Mat’s approach to the improvisation, creation and interpretation of music, have all been factors that have led him to play all around Australia, in as diverse environment’s as playing Hip Hop in Parliament house Victoria, to a John Cage festival for Melbourne International Art Fest, to bush doofs in the middle of New South Wales and to Darwin Festival playing South American music on a man made beach.
Mat’s chameleon approach to music making has resulted in him performing and recording in many different styles of music. Some of these styles include Avant-Garde, Jazz, Blues, Cumbia, Carnatic, Hip Hop, Soul, Funk, R n’ B, Disco, Reggae, Pop, Rock, Electronic, Experimental, Bossa Nova and much more.
